How many covers do you know that are as good or even better than the originals? The wonderful version of “American teenager” with Gracie Abrams made me think about this the last few days. When a cover is made from the heart, it automatically awakens us to know the artist who wrote it, in this case, Ethel Cain, one of the most promising artists today.
