Madge + 10 new Indie Pop sensations

The term Indie Pop is today much more of a brand than a definition, much less about the sound that a particular artist is capable of offering. Independent pop is more mainstream than ever, with names like Charli XCX dominating not only the charts, but fashion and pop culture itself. In this list, we even went to South Korea to understand who and what some of these names are, like the wild Madge who illustrates this post. Enjoy.

Madge

Madge is a pop writer and producer breaking hearts and noses from their cat cave in Los Angeles. Originally from Utah, their Mormon upbringing continues to influence them for better or worse. Madge has worked behind the scenes for artists ranging from Pussy Riot to Kaskade to Yungblud to Brooke Candy and is looking forward to releasing their debut album. BBC Radio1 has described Madge as “like chewing on toxic waste in the best way”.
