Kafka: how to create a lifetime pop song

I start this article talking about Coldplay, who started their career immersed in rock and today makes quality pop without forgetting their roots. Because the Coldplay that we have today is very close to one of the most exciting duos that Holland has ever given us: Kafka, (and I’m not talking about the world famous writer, ok?).

With its core formed by the goddess Dafne Holtland (vocals-guitars) and Frank van Kasteren (vocals-guitars), Kafka does much more than dance-oriented pop: both know how to compose unforgettable songs about simple themes, such as summer, as the new single “Speed of Light”, a delicious and catchy track that talks about experiencing life as it passes quickly for all of us.

Despite being a relatively new band in showbiz, having released the first works in the pandemic, Kafka already has an album “Out of Tune” and 4 more singles (including “Speed of Light”) in his luggage. Productivity definitely doesn’t seem to be an issue for them and only time could tell if they will one day have the same influence on music that Franz Kafka had on literature. As far as the sound quality they deliver to us depends, it’s a great possibility.
