There’s one thing that made me choose the magnificent Kate Dineen to top yet another list of the best of indie-folk and similar genres. She’s Irish, and those who have followed me on the blog know my appreciation for Irish artists, which starts with U2, goes through Sineád, and reaches revelations like Carpark and finally Kate.
Kate Dineen grew up in Kerry, a small rural village overlooking Tralee Bay on the south-western coast of Ireland. Kate is a self described “shade loving” singer-songwriter. Here, I bring two of her solo songs: “Millennial” and “Burnout”… dilemmas of youth in times marked by social isolation.
