Maya Lane + 6 Alt.Country invincible new names

It’s been a while since our last list of Alt.Country one of my favorite genres – my musical hobby, even. It’s always good to meet names like Maya Lane who simply summarize all the influences that I consider good in terms of music. They’re new, they’re great.

They will be invincible.

Maya Lane

Maya Lane is a singer-songwriter based in London. She is emotionally mature beyond her years and a natural storyteller. Her pop/folk style draws influences from the likes of Fleetwood Mac, Kacey Musgraves, HAIM and Joni Mitchell, while sitting her alongside artists such as Holly Humberstone and Lennon Stella. She has performed at festivals and gigs since the age of 12 and continues to perfect her live craft, performing solo or with an all female band. Maya is managed by Ferocious Talent and is signed to Stellar Songs for publishing. She is currently writing with the likes of Wayne Hector (Tate McRae, Birdy), Rob Milton (Holly Humberstone, The 1975), Jonathan Quarmby (Tom Walker, Lewis Capaldi), Jonny Lattimer (Ellie Goulding, Anne Marie) and Hayley Gene Penner (The Chicks, Lennon Stella). Her debut EP received support from blogs and national newspapers such as Wonderland, Clash, tmrw, The Daily Star and The Sunday Mirror. She returns with her new single “24F” in August 2023.
